On November 12, 2020, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan published the latest policy for entry to China. The specific content is now forwarded as follows:
In order to reduce cross-border transmission of Covid-19, starting from November 14, 2020 , all Chinese and foreign passengers who are to fly from Pakistan to China will be required to take both nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests and then apply for the green health code with the “HS” or “HDC” mark before boarding the flight. The specific requirements are as follows:
I. Test Requirements
Both nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests should be taken twice for passengers going from Pakistan to China via direct flights within 48 hours before boarding. They must take the tests at two different medical institutions designated by the Chinese embassy/consulates and then apply at the Chinese embassy/consulates for a green health code with the “HS” or “HDC” mark with certificates of negative results of both tests. Please note that the time limitation of 48 hours is the time of sample collection instead of report.
II. Chinese Passengers Applying for Green Health Code with the “HS” Mark
Chinese passengers must upload to the WeChat Health Code app photos of all their four pieces of negative nucleic Acid and IgM anti-body tests results and direct flight ticket to China before making sure that the name, passport number, photo, flight number departing from Pakistan etc., which will then be examined and verified by the Chinese embassy/consulates. Then they will get the green health code with the “HS”mark verification. Passengers must present the green code within its validity period to airlines flying directly to China before boarding. Please board the plane within its validity period and follow the checking procedures of the airlines. Airlines operating direct flights to China will check and release passengers with the "HS" green health code issued by the Chinese diplomatic and consular missions. Please pay attention to boarding within the health code period and check with the airline before boarding.
III. Foreign Passengers Applying for the Electronic Certified Health Status Declaration Form
All foreign passengers (including the Fast Lane passengers) who are flying from Pakistan to China will be required to present the Electronic Health Declaration Form for boarding. Foreign passengers can apply for the Electronic Health Declaration Form by logging on the website of http://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ via computer or smart phone. Foreign passengers can fill in the information, declare the health status and upload the testing certificates and direct flight ticket to China online, which will then be examined and verified by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General. Please make sure that the information of the name, passport number, photo, direct flight number from Pakistan to China is correct. Upon approval, they will receive the Electronic Health Declaration Form, which will be displayed in QR code with the “HDC” mark. Foreign passengers must present the electronic or printed code, and follow the procedures for inspection by relevant airlines during boarding. Airlines operating direct flights to China will check and release passengers with the "HDC" green health code issued by the Chinese diplomatic and consular missions. They must present the form within its validity period to the airlines flying directly to China before boarding.

1. Advanced Lab (pvt) Ltd.
2. Children's Hospital Karachi
3. Dr.Essa Laboratory & Diagnostic Center
iii. Chinese Consulate General in Lahore:
1. Islamabad Diagnostic Centre
2. Chughtai Lab
V. Special reminder
i. Please read the requirements carefully and follow them accordingly. Failure to obtain the green health code with the “HS” or “HDC” mark with negative nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests results means you do not quality for boarding the flight to China and will have to change your itinerary.
ii. In order to reduce risks of Covid-19 infection and being stranded in third countries, the Chinese embassy and consulate general in Pakistan don’t issue Health Code to passengers who travel to China via connecting flights.
iii. After entering Pakistan, passengers travelling from the third country should complete nucleic acid and IgM antibody test before taking the flight from Pakistan to China. Considering the fact that Pakistan airport does not provide test for transit passengers and there is no international transit zone in all its international airports, all transit passengers should get the relevant Pakistan visa in advance before being allowed to arrive at the international departure zone. Please take precaution before choosing Pakistan as the transit country to China.
iv. This notice will be implemented from November 14, 2020. From the date of implementation, the previous notifications from the Chinese Embassy and Consulate in Pakistan regarding the health code and nucleic acid testing are subject to this notification.
v. The Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Pakistan once again remind passengers to reconsider their travel plans and avoid nonessential international travel at this time. After testing, passengers are advised to avoid unnecessary travel activities and take precaution measures to avoid infection.
