Transit Process

Domestic-Domestic Transit Process *For passengers with a China Southern Airlines ticket for all flights

Get off the plane at the specified terminal 2 domestic boarding bridge and proceed to the terminal building--->Confirm the boarding gate for your onward flight with the airport pick-up staff at the end of the bridge and get a transit stamp--->Proceed to the domestic departure boarding gate--->Board flight.

Get off the plane at the specified remote aircraft parking bay in terminal 2 and proceed to Domestic Arrivals via the shuttle bus--->Confirm the boarding gate for your onward flight with the airport staff at the transit hall and get a transit stamp--->Go to the Domestic Departure Lounge on the 2^nd floor via the dedicated channel--->Proceed to the domestic departure boarding gate--->Board flight.

Domestic-International Transit Process

Get off the plane at the specified terminal 2 domestic boarding bridge and proceed to the terminal building--->Take the terminal elevator to Domestic Arrivals on the 3^rd floor--->Collect your luggage at the Domestic Baggage Claim Hall--->Proceed to the Domestic and International Transit Hall--->Pass through customs and security check to the transfer counter--->Carry out international check-in procedures--->Take elevator to Level 2, and enter the International Departure Hall via customs--->Pass through immigration and security check--->Proceed to the international departure boarding gate--->Board flight.

Get off the plane at the specified remote aircraft parking bay in the terminal 2 domestic area and proceed to Domestic Arrivals via the shuttle bus--->Go to the Domestic Baggage Claim Hall via Domestic Arrivals--->Collect your luggage--->Proceed to the Domestic and International Transit Hall--->Pass through customs and security check to the transfer counter--->Carry out international check-in procedures--->Take elevator to Level 2, and enter the International Departure Hall via customs--->Pass through immigration and security check--->Proceed to the international departure boarding gate--->Board flight.

International-Domestic Transit Process

Get off the plane at the specified terminal 2 international boarding bridge and proceed to the terminal building--->Take the elevator to the International Arrivals Hall on the 3^rd floor--->Pass through quarantine inspection and immigration--->Go to the International Baggage Claim Hall--->Collect your luggage and proceed to the Transit Hall--->Pass through customs and security check to the domestic transfer counter--->Carry out domestic check-in procedures--->Take elevator to the Domestic Departure Hall on Level 2--->Pass through security check--->Proceed to the domestic departure boarding gate--->Board flight.

Get off the plane at the specified remote aircraft parking bay in terminal 2 international area and proceed to the terminal building via the shuttle bus--->Take the elevator to the International Arrivals Hall on the 3^rd floor--->Pass through quarantine inspection and immigration--->Go to the International Baggage Claim Hall--->Collect your luggage and proceed to the Transit Hall--->Pass through customs and security check to the domestic transfer counter--->Carry out domestic check-in procedures--->Take elevator to the Domestic Departure Hall on Level 2--->Pass through security check--->Proceed to the domestic departure boarding gate--->Board flight.

Beijing Transit Service Counter

The transit service counter in the waiting area provides comprehensive services including carrying out passenger transit procedures and providing dynamic information inquiries, overnight accommodation for transit passengers, rescheduling and canceling tickets, and regular passenger services. At present, there are a total of 6 transit service counters located at key points in the transit process, such as the waiting hall, remote gate arrival hall, and the baggage hall.

Beijing Transit Lounge

Located next to the China Southern Airlines service counter in the baggage hall on the first floor, the transit lounge provides a place for transit passengers to rest.

24-hour transit permit

Foreigners that hold a valid ticket to depart Mainland China within 24 hours may apply for a 24-hour transit permit. To apply, please take your completed "Foreigner Arrival Card", passport, boarding pass for your onward flight and travel itinerary to the immigration counter.

Conditions for Free Transit Accommodation in Beijing (this service is available only to transit passengers taking connecting flights of China Southern Airlines)

●International transit passengers
This standard applies only to passengers having booked seats and taking international flights of China Southern Airlines (including code-sharing flights, excluding terrestrial virtual flights), who have domestic-to/from-international, international-to/from-international transfers via hubs with connection time of 8 (included) to 48 hours (included) (including code-sharing flights operated by Chongqing Airlines or Xiamen Airlines that connect with China Southern Airlines international flights).

CZ Domestic flights and CZ International flights refer to flights with the actual carrier and the flight sales code both being China Southern Airlines. CZ Domestic code-sharing flights operated by Chongqing Airlines or Xiamen Airlines refer to code-sharing flights with flight sales code being CZ (China Southern Airlines) but operator being Chongqing Airlines or Xiamen Airlines. CZ International code-sharing flights refer to code-sharing flights with flight sales code being CZ (China Southern Airlines) but operator being foreign airlines. No free transit accommodation can be arranged for the connecting flights other than those marked with “√” above.
