The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has recently released the “Notice of Temporary Suspension of Dogs Entering the United States from High-Risk Rabies Countries”. From July 14, US local time, there is a temporary suspension for dogs imported from 113 high-risk countries (China included), excluding those ones with advance written approval from the United States CDC.
At present, only John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, is open to dogs. For the latest updates, CDC notices, application conditions and procedures, please refer to https://www.cdc.gov/importation.
