Airport Profile
Auckland International Airport is located in the suburb of Mans Gray, Auckland, New Zealand, about 20 kilometers away from the south of the downtown. It is the largest and busiest airport in New Zealand. The Airport has an international terminal and a china terminal. It is 33 kilometers (20 miles) away from the downtown, and 50 kilometers (31 miles) away from Anaheim Disneyland.

The airplane stops at the boarding bridge, and passengers disembark and go to the arrival hall at the first floor through an air bridge--->Walk to or take a free shuttle to the international terminal (refer to the chart for the route or the pick-up point) --->Arrive at the international terminal at the first floor to check in--->Pass the New Zealand Customs at the second floor--->Go through the safety check--->Go down to the first floor's the international departure lounge by escalator or elevator--->Boarding.

Airport Transportation Guide
Transportation between the International and China Terminals
There is free bus service for the transportation between the international and china terminals from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. every day. The stations locate at the gates of the two terminals, and there are stations at the gates of the china terminals for both Air New Zealand and Qantas. The terminals are connected by sidewalks.
Public Coach
"AirBus" provides transport services for the transportation between the Airport and downtown. It takes about one hour and S$ 15 for the ride. There is one coach every 20 minutes during the daytime and every 30 minutes at night.
The first coach at the Airport departs at 6:20 a.m. and the last one departs at 10:00 p.m. to the downtown.
The first coach at the station departs at 6:20 a.m. (at 4:40 am from Nov. 1 to Apr. 30) and the last coach departs at 10:00 p.m. to the Airport. One-way ticket for adults is S$ 15 and round-trip ticket S$ 22. One-way ticket for children (4-14 years old) is S$ 6 and round-trip ticket S$ 12. One-way ticket for backpackers and students is S$ 13 and round-trip ticket S$ 20. The ticket for the ones carrying surfboards, skis or bikes (the bikes must be boxed) requires an additional S$ 6.
The AirBus Service doesn't require reservations, and you can buy a ticket directly from the driver. It will take you about one hour to get to downtown.
Public Bus
The ticket for one person is about S$ 26 and S$ 32 for two persons. It takes about 60 minutes. Taking the shuttle bus is a cost-effective way to reach downtown. There is a discount if two or more persons take the bus, and it increases by about S$ 6 for each additional person. The shuttle bus is usually taken with other passengers. The running time for the shuttle bus depends on traffic conditions and the number of transfer passengers along the way. You had better set aside a large amount of time for getting to the airport if you are going to take an outbound flight.
Taxi
It takes about S$ 50-65 and about 30 minutes to get to downtown. And it may take you a long time and the fare may be up to S$ 80 during the rush hours from the airport to downtown by taking a taxi.

Rental Car
The major car rental companies conduct their business in the airport terminal. You are strongly recommended to book the car in advance if you want to rent a car.

It takes you about 45 minutes to get to downtown. To get to the airport from downtown, you can drive from the exit of the No. 1 Expressway Gilles Ave, follow the aerodrome markings to Airport 20A Expressway and then you will see the Airport.
