1.May I take golf clubs?

2.Can I take a small oxygen bottle?

Sorry, any equipment containing oxygen is unallowable to be brought to the plane.

3.May I take liquid food for infant?

No, but you can apply for special food or prepare milk powder on the plane.

4.May I take an electric wheel chair? What should I pay attention to before boarding?

The electric wheel belongs to special baggage. You must contact us in advance before taking the flight. We will transport the electric wheel chair if you provide information related to the wheel chair, use up the electricity or disconnect power unit.

5.May I take a caesium atomic clock?

Caesium atomic clock belongs to special baggage. As it is a precision instrument, you must get our prior approval before we transport it for you.

6.Under what circumstances can surfing or wind surfing equipment be taken?

Surfing equipment are special baggages and the consignment of such baggage requires consultation with China Southern Airlines in advance. With the approval of the company, surfing equipment can be consigned with charge according to special charge standards. For more details, please check "Provisions on Special Baggages".

7.What should I do if the baggage is overweight or if I want to take special baggage?

When dealing with baggage checking at the airport, your baggage will be weighed. The overweight baggage will be charged according to the standard. Please call our sales service hotline 95539 for solution if you want to take special baggage.

8.How is overweight check-in baggage charged?

Domestic journeys

Regardless of the fare class actually paid by the passenger and the actual position of their seat, baggage carried on China Southern Airlines flights which exceeds the free baggage allowance is charged according to the following excess baggage rates: Excess baggage is charged by the kilogram at a rate of 1.5% of the full adult one-way economy class ticket price applicable on the day of billing; If no direct flight price is published, the rate is calculated by adding the different flight segments.

International/Regional journey

Zone 1：Journeys involving CZ’s Japan, America, Oceania,Russia (note 1) or Dubai routes, or routes originating from Singapore(note 2) to Mainland China.

2、The rules only apply to flights departing from Singapore to Mainland China and exclude flights departing from Mainland China to Singapore.

3、The Middle/West Asia routes refer to routes between China and Uzbekistan/Tajikistan/Kazakhstan/Kyrghyzstan/Turkmenistan/Iran/Pakistan/Azerbaijan/Georgia.

4、the Nairobi routes exclude Mauritius.

5、For international and regional routes(excluding USA), a single piece of checked baggage may not exceed 32 kgs/70 lbs; For USA routes, a single piece of checked baggage may not exceed 45 kgs/90 lbs.

9.May I take a bicycle?

Bicycles are special baggages and the consignment of such baggage requires consultation with China Southern Airlines in advance. With the approval of the company, bicycles can be consigned and the weight of the bicycle could be included into the free baggage allowance of the passenger. 12.Is there any upper limit on the weight of overweight baggage?

1. For our national routes, every piece of check-in baggage cannot exceed 50kg and must be under a volume of 40x60x100cm.

2. For passengers travelling on China Southern's international or regional flights, or domestic flights connected with them, when the U.S.A. routes are involved, the weight of each piece of checked baggage must not exceed 45KG (90 pounds), and the sum of three dimensions of it must not exceed 158CM (62 inches).

3. For passengers travelling on China Southern's international or regional flights, or domestic flights connected with them, when the U.S.A. routes are not involved, the weight of each piece of checked baggage must not exceed 32KG (70 pounds), and the sum of three dimensions of it must not exceed 158CM (62 inches).

13.May I take a violoncello?
